We met my Uzbek friends after a long time after the midterm exam. But everyone was already close so there were not a problem. In the third meeting, it was a time to investigate and check whether it was right to pre-investigate famous idols, singers, music, movies, and food in each country in advance. Unfortunately, none of the things we investigated about Uzbekistan, but everything our Uzbek friends investigated was right so it us amazing. In particular, it was very surprised Uzbeck team found out the famous sauce of Korea, 진간장. Also looking for each other’s famous singers and movies, we got to know each other’s country better, and it was also an opportunity for us to get to know Uzbek culture with interest. It was such a fun and informative time. While talking together, Uzbek friend’s profile picture was the character of the animation called 귀멸의 칼날, and there were many friends who like that animation, so we confirmed that our interests were similar and became closer.
Meeting with Uzbeck(feat. Yuzin)
We all got closer than we first meeting. Especially, a friend named Yuzin was so talented in Korean & Korea’ culture. By changing the topic to introduce each school more, everyone was able to participate with a smile and easy. In Korea, each team introduced self-study at night, sports competitions, and sports competition. Everyone seemed interested in that topic. Events held at Uzbekistan high schools were also introduced by Uzbeck friends and it was especially impressive that an Uzbek friend showed Korea’ Taekwondo during the class. Everyone was good at Korean, so Korean was more comfortable than English for them.
In addition, the screen was bigger and the quality of the network was improved compared to the first hour, so everyone became closer and made friends through Instagram.
1st meeting
At the first meeting, We introduced a popular saying in Korea. We introduced Konglish buzzwords that speak Korean sound like English, such as “form crazy,” and “newzins’ hype boy” which means that anyone passing by knows Newzins’ songs. In fact, We were worried that it would be difficult for my Uzbek friends to understand them because it contains a lot of Korean’s emotions, and they didn’t seem to understand it well. So we decided to come up with an easier for the next topic.
Also we separated our members into 3team and make them research different topic and introduce various things to Uzbeck friends.
